Hey Reader,

Two steps of the DDB framework belong together today: discern and dismantle, since one always leads straight into the other.

Discern starts with an honest look at what the people who love you truly have to offer. Not what you wish they gave you instead, but what their real skill set offers today.

Dismantle comes next, and dismantle is the harder step. Dismantle means letting go of the quiet resentment built up over years of expecting a skill from someone never equipped to offer the skill. Dismantle means admitting the disappointment was aimed at the wrong target.

This same pattern showed up throughout GROW Encounter, women naming honestly what specific people in their lives had to offer, and releasing years of silent resentment as the weekend went on.

Discern what your people truly have to offer. Dismantle the expectation demanding more from them than they were ever equipped to give. Both steps happen before you ever walk into a room built for the rest.
